PADI Dive Courses - we have very experienced European PADI instructors who offer the full range of dive courses from beginner level (PADI Open Water) through to professional level (PADI Divemaster and Instructor). All courses are run on demand in small groups, and all course-dives take place on real dive sites around Bunaken - it is not uncommon to see turtles and shark on your training dives, and one of our open water students even spotted a dugong and an eagle ray on her first open water dive!

Topkapi Palace was home to all the Ottoman sultans until the reign of Abdulmecid I (1839-1860), a period of nearly four centuries. The order for the construction of the Topkapi Palace on the Seraglio Point overlooking both Marmara and Bosphorus was given by Mehmed II after the conquest of Constantinapolis in 1453. The place was then an ancient olive grove. The final form of the first palace covered an area 700m², and was enclosed with fortified walls 1400 meters in length. The walls were pierced by a number of gates, namely the Otluk gate, the Demir gate and the Imperial gate (Bab-i Humayun), and a number of minor angled gates between them. After the reign of Mehmed II the Conqueror, the palace grew steadily to form a city like complex of buildings and annexes, including a shore palace known as the Topkapi shore palace, as it was situated near the cannon gate -Topkapi- of the ancient walls of Istanbul. Hasankeyf, tarihdeki önemini Artuklular'ın 1101 yılında buraya hakim olması ile kazandı. Bu tarihten itibaren o günkü ismi ile Hısn Keyfa, Orta Çağ'ın önemli şehirlerinden biri oldu. Artuklular, bölgenin idaresinde zaman zaman söz sahibi olduklari gibi, Hasankeyf'te de önemli eserler bıraktı.

Kuzeyden güneye kıvrılıp giden Dicle nehri üzerinde yer alması ve o günlerde ticaretin önemli bir kısmının nehir yoluyla yapılması nedeniyle Hasankeyf, ticari ve ekonomik olarak da gelişti.

Hasankeyf'i Artuklular'dan alan (1232) Eyyubiler, henüz bölgeye tam hakim olamadan Moğol istilasi ve harabiyeti ile karşılaştı. Birçok yerleşim yeri gibi burası da altüst oldu.

Eyyubiler, Moğol şokunu atlattıktan sonra 14. yüzyıl başlarından itibaren Hasankeyf'i yeniden imar etmeye başladı. Özellikle bugün Hasankeyf'te bulunan birçok eserde imzası bulunan Eyyubiler'in, Sultan Süleyman zamanında bu imar faaliyeti zirveye ulaştı. Hasankeyf, bu yıllarda tarihinin en parlak dönemlerinden birini yaşadı.

Nihayet Osmanlılar'ın gücüne karşı direnemeyen, Safeviler'in baskıları ve iç hesaplaşmalarla iyice yıpranan Eyyubiler, 1515 yılında burayı Osmanlılar'a bıraktı. Bu tarihten itibaren şehir, tarihi önemini kaybederek günümüze geldi.

Intel Türkiye Genel Müdürü Çiğdem Ertem, yazılım şirketi CTD’nin, Intel’in en son teknolojilerini kullanarak artık Türkçe konuşmayı bilgisayarlara aktarabileceğini bildirdi.
Intel’in 40. yılı dolayısıyla düzenlenen toplantıda konuşan Ertem, 40 yılın birikimini en iyi biçimde özümseyen ve Intel’in en aktif ülke organizasyonlarından biri olan Intel Türkiye ofisinin, 11 yıldır kendi bünyesinde geliştirdiği ve Intel’in küresel organizasyonu tarafından örnek alınan çok sayıda sosyal projeye imza attığını söyledi.
Ertem, Türkiye’de bilgisayar satışları konusunda ikinci çeyrek içerisinde oldukça yavaş bir pazarla karşılaştıklarını ifade ederek, “Normalde bu yılın ilk çeyreği çok hızlı başlamıştı. Büyüyen bir pazar var. Son çeyrekte ise toparlayacağını düşünüyoruz” dedi. Türkiye’de bilgisayar sektörünün her yıl yüzde 20 büyümeyle gideceğini tahmin ettiklerini belirten Ertem, Intel’in, Türkiye’nin 2012 yılında Avrupa’nın 5. ülkesi olacağını düşündüğünü kaydetti.
